Personally, I don't get much out of blogging (actually writing the blog) except a written record of what I was thinking about before. I enjoy the connection of reading blogs and engaging in a dialog through the blog. This might be why the researchers cannot duplicate the process of what goes on in blogging: it is different for different people. Bloggers might have different uses and there might be other tools that might trigger the type of reflection that blogs do for others. That is why I think even using a blog for training or in classes should only be one tool as it might not connect for some like it does for others.
