Hi, great link - I love the way this book describes the stages of planning your design and clarifying your 'story'.
On a related note, I also saw a post from Stowe Boyd today about someone using Many Eyes for tag cloud tagging of people, maybe some of the visualizations in there could also be used for telling a story.
